One word sums my opinion about this book- awesome! I currently own this one and the course companion by Andrew Allott and I have to say this book is so much better. The first thing I like about this book is that the diagrams are in colour... Secondly, when explaining a process, the book gives both a flow diagram of the process and sentence descriptions. I find that this enhances my understanding of everything so much more. -- Student, IB Damned site 20100304 This is the my favourite Biology book which I have come across so far. There is masses of information that is all very useful and easy enough to understand... Diagrams in the book are also very helpful for helping to explain some trickier things like The Krebs Cycle. Very Encouraging Guide To Read Along with the Psalms

Warren Wiersbe has been one of my favorite teachers over the years. This daily walk through the Psalms is an excellent addition to your morning devotion time. I began this study last Fall because I couldn't wait until January. I find myself making notes in my Bible as I read his messages and remembering the teachings throughout the day. If you love the Psalms as I do, you will want to purchase this for a more intimate study.

David C. Ling (Ph.D, 1984, and MBA, 1977, The Ohio State University) is the William D. Hussey Professor of Real Estate and the Director of the Real Estate Research Center in the Warrington College of Business Adminstration and Graduate School of Business at the University of Florida. Professor Ling serves on numerous editorial boards including the Journal of Housing Economics, Real Estate Economics, The Journal of Real Estate Research, and Real Estate Finance. He has provided research and consulting services to several state and national organizations including the Federal National Mortgage Association, the National Association of Home Builders, the National Association of Realtors, and the Florida Association of Realtors. He is a Fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute and board member of the Real Estate Research Institute.

Great book for getting basic intro to Real Estate

comprehensive, dry, easy read. Gets specific and material is fairly current with consideration to the economic conditions and finance resources as they are in 2012 - I realize there are a few editions with the same cover - so I'm referring to the 2009 version I had. A lot has changed even since 2009, but the information was geared toward fundamentals -- which are pretty stable in all economies. For example, terms used in real estate, typical financial resources (titles, limitations, duties), contract terminology, the process of buying and selling, etc. All in all a good solid book to start with. I found it helpful and rarely had to supplement this reading for indepth explanations.

Best Introduction to Real Estate Text on the Market

As an adjunct professor in real estate I have found many introduction level real estate texts to be bland, outdated, and simply far too basic for use on the collegiate level.

Real Estate Principles is not plagued by any of these issues and is by far the best college level introduction to real estate text on the market. Ling and Archer have presented a very comprehensive list of material in a solid, clear, and concise manner. Flavor is added to the presentation through interesting examples, tables, and case studies.

Introductory book to real estate

This is an introductory book to real estate. It is not recommended to professionals. Besides that, it does a good job at introducing novices to the real estate markets. I believe it is widely used in colleges and undergraduate classes.
